- About Available Server Configurations
- Which server configurations does Servers-R-Us provide?
Hardware configurations are defined by the type of CPU,
the amount of RAM and the hard disc drive (HDD) capacity.
The availability of CPUs and HDDs on the market changes
constantly, as faster CPUs and "bigger" HDDs become
cost-effective.
Within this changing context, Servers-R-Us provides
a low-end, one or more mid-end and a high-end configuration, that
can be fine-tuned by the customer, according the his/her
particular requirements.
Our current server configurations are displayed at our
PRICE LIST page.
Software configuration is a little more stable, although
OS and Web Servers newer versions become available from
time to time.
Our servers include a Operating System, a Web Server and
a Web based Control Panel, as described in our
PRICE LIST page.
- What if I have some special requirements?
If Servers-R-Us' standard configurations does not meet
your requirements, please make contact with us through our
CONTACT page, or e-mail us at
info@servers-r-us.com
and explain your hardware and/or
software requirements; we will get back to you with an
offer to meet your needs.
- What happens when the server I rent becomes outdated?
Hardware and software configurations become outdated
as faster CPUs, "bigger" HDDs and better software becomes
available.
Every 12 months we will review your hardware
configuration and we will adjust the rent you pay to
reflect the fact that you have an older server. The
reduction on the rent may be not so significant, since
most of the rent one pays will cover data traffic costs,
but you know you will be paying less for your server, as
this one becomes older.
Moreover, you are free to upgrade your server if and
when you consider this to be required; see questions and
answers "About Contract" bellow.
